Certificates
:
An
interim MLC ( Maritime Labour Certificate ) may only be issued:
a.
New build
b.
Change of flag
c.
Change of owner
An
interim Certificate is valid for 6 months & can not be revalidate
or reissued.
Certificate
become invalid if:
a.
Intermediate survey not carried out in appropriate time period.
b.
Not endorsed following an intermediate survey
c.
Flag change
d.
Owner change
e.
Changes or damage to ship accommodation and recreational facilities
or food and catering facilities.
Declaration
of Maritime Labour Compliance (DMLC) :
The
DMLC is a unique form that must be completed by both the competent
authority in the flag State and the shipowner as Parts I and II
respectively.
Part
I :
a.
Completed by the flag State
b.
Requirements for the ship type
c.
Details of any substantially equivalent provisions under the national
law
d.
Any exemptions granted by the flag State
e.
List of the areas to be inspected together with national provisions
and requirements.
Part
II :
a.
Completed by the shipowner
b.
Reviewed and approved by the flag State or RO
c.
Proposed measures that will be taken for initial and on-going
compliance with the national requirements contained in DMLC Part I
and the Convention.
Both
Parts I and II must be attached to the Maritime Labour Certificate
that is retained on board.
